Park Arts Group and our Neighbourhood Artist, Kirsten Lavers have invited seven artists to create the Crop Marks art trail to be exhibited over the August Bank Holiday weekend 28 – 31 August throughout Orchard Park. We hope that Crop Marks will raise the profile of our new neighbourhood in a positive and creative way as well as being fun, thought-provoking and inspiring for visitors and residents. Some info from Kirsten: 1) Advance notice of an event coming up on July 4th at Orchard Park School Community rooms - see attached invite (Crop marks invitation). Crop Marks promises to be an exciting week of art and creativity in late August with seven artists making work all around the development. We've had a great deal of interest from artists applying and this event is your opportunity to help Park Arts Group select seven artists from the shortlist of 14 candidates. There will be a free buffet lunch at 12.30 and there will be short presentations from 1.30 - 3pm followed by questions and informal conversation. Please let me know if you intend coming along so that we can cater accordingly. This event is not going to be very entertaining for small children but older children and teens may find it interesting and would be welcome. |
