Mini motos In last weeks newsletter we mentioned that we were receiving many complaints regarding Mini Motos, as we all know these problems tend to arise in the summer months with children off school . we are very pleased to say that we have made fantastic progress in the last week. We have managed to confiscate one bike from an address in Ferrars way and we are hoping to confiscate a second in the week. These bikes were seized following good work from the public who remained vigilant and continued reporting incidents, for this we thank you and ask you to please keep it up. |

From Monday 15th June 2009, the non-emergency telephone number for Cambridgeshire Constabulary is changing. The new number is 0345 456 456 4. Please save this in your address books for future reference. The old number, 0845 456 456 4, will continue to operate alongside the new number until April 2011. The move will allow people with call packages which provide free local calls to benefit as 0345 numbers are classed as local calls. Remember - in an emergency, always dial 999. You should dial 999 if lives are in danger or if there is serious risk of injury, if a serious crime is happening or if a criminal is still at the scene. Dear All,
As you are aware we work closely with other agencies including the City Council. The following advice has been passed to us from the Safer Communities department in the City Council. We are keen to promote this to discourage burglars operating in the area and to help you make your home more secure.

Last Saturday saw the 32nd year of the Arbury Carnival. The sun shone down and a great day was had by all. The only incidents that we had to deal with were two lost children, who were promptly found after the parents had spoken to us, and a resident who was concerned that a lady was selling carnival programs and pocketing the donation money for herself. This was also checked out promptly, and it turned out that the lady was legitimate. The resident who had told me her concerns apologised for reporting it to me, but like I said to her, I would much prefer someone to tell me about any suspicious activity, and it to be looked into and turn out legitimate rather than someone not reporting any suspicious activity and there being a crime committed. |
