Latest progress news from the CGB team:

  • Trees, thicket, scrub and vegetation removal has in general ceased. However, where clearance is required an ecologist will first inspect it.
  • The Gantry has crossed the River Great Ouse viaduct and is progressing towards St Ives. The gantry is due to reach St Ives next week.
  • Work on the Orchard Park link continues, current works include; concrete works, drainage and statutory authority diversions, with completion in late summer. Accessibility will always be provided. Traffic Management will be introduced onto the Kings Hedges and Cambridge Roads next week to enable the guideway to be tied into the Kings Hedges Road. A letter drop has been delivered and warning notices of the traffic management are in place.
  • Drainage work is continuing between Cambridge Regional College and Milton Road Junction, Oakington and Park Lane, Park Lane and Histon and should be completed by the end of July.
  • Milton Road Junction – Is complete.
  • Construction of the Maintenance Track is continuing between Histon and Milton Road, and should be complete by early July.
  • We are carrying out finishing works at all junctions, and these will continue to late summer.
  • We are currently undertaking finishing works to Bus Stop Construction that will continue until late summer.
