The new Orchard Park (Shadow) Community Council was formed at a meeting at the Orchard Park school last night. Owing to legal ambiguities, it has been decided by SCDC to delay establishing the formal council until the first elections in the 2009 tax year, so in the meantime IPC have decided to push ahead with enabling Orchard Park residents to make the decisions that affect them.

So the Inside Orchard Park web site is now launched...it's basic at the moment, but will be the platform for new Orchard Park information going forward. The old Inside Arbury Park will continue to run and be a source of older information, but I will look to transition as much of the content across as possible. My goal is that IOP will be simpler and more streamlined - I've learned a lot about the issues and priorities of running a community web site over the last two years, and I hope IOP will reflect that. |
