My name's Nick Warren and I've been a resident of Orchard Park since early 2007.

I live on Iceni Way (between the primary school and the Circus) with my wife and my two kids...

I've been involved with the original resident website (www.insidearburypark.net) and now this one. In the early days I helped represent the views of Orchard Park residents as a councillor on Impington Parish Council and more latterly on the Orchard Park Community Council formed last year, although I have recently stepped down from OPCC (I ran out of time and energy!!)...

My interests include motorcycling, Crystal Palace FC, computing and a variety of sports including rowing, squash, football, tennis and badminton. I'm also a committed member of Cambridge City Church.

And I'm currently working for a group that runs a number of private colleges across the UK...

I moved to Orchard Park:

  • Because it was better value than many other areas around the north of Cambridge

  • Because I liked the idea of a new house

  • But mainly because I really wanted to be part of the creation of a brand new community!

Hope that's helpful - please feel free to ask any questions!

Nick,

Is there anyway of publicising forum posts on the front page, perhaps having a recent forum posts section? Otherwise people have to click on forums to realise anything is going on.

Unfortunately there isn't a "proper" way to do it, but I've "bodged" a solution using RSS feeds...hope that helps, and thanks for the suggestion!
